I am a graduate of the Business Information Technology program from Red River College, where I learned a wide variety of tech skills including application development, database management, web technologies and system design.
Joined a project already in progress and continued development on an environment testing solution used to evaluate customer hardware and network settings before software installation. Worked with remote coworkers on an agile team to finalize requirements and facilitate user feedback sessions to improve the product over multiple sprints. Participated in standup meetings and managed product backlog items in Azure DevOps Server. Provided regular status updates to the team and project manager.
Designed and built the backend of a web-based report viewer for an existing environment testing solution. Documented user requirements and database specifications working closely with remote UI/UX team members. Used database-first methodology to design and build the required MS SQL Server database. Built a Web API following MVC architecture to be consumed by a front-end user interface developed by a separate team. Provided regular status updates to the project coordinator and performed a final code walk-through to ensure successful handoff of project deliverables.
Performed manual labour tasks as well as serving customers, caring for greenhouse plants, operating the cash register, preparing mail orders and general clean-up duties.
Learned the fundamentals of information technology, with a focus on application development, database management, web development, and network management.
